Central Highlands 5 Days 4 Nights

Hoian, Kontum, Pleiku, Buon Ma Thuot, Yokdon National Park
Yok Don National Park (Buon Don district) situated more than 40 km to the west of Buon ma Thuot city with 115.545 hectares where is the conservation of natural resources of precious national forest ecosystem. Especially, deducious forest, with rare animals, natural lakes, rivers, waterfalls.
This short trip is the combination of natural beauty and traditional ethnic culture by trekking through primitive forest, boating in the Serepok river and spend the nights in house-on-stilt in Banar, Ede and M’nong villages. Taking this trip, we do not only seize the opportunity of admiring the beauty of nature but also enjoy the traditional living activities of ethnic minorities and their festivals of Gongs in The Central Highlands.
Day 1: HOI AN – KONTUM – KONKOTU (L/D)
Leave Hoi An for Kontum via Ho Chi Minh trail (320km). Driving over beautiful mountainous passes, enjoy the scenery and panoramic views of lowlands from the highlands. Stopover at some ethnic villages and waterfalls along the road. Have lunch on route. Arrive Kon Tum, transfer to Kon Ko Lor suspention bridge. Start hiking through local villages of Bahnar people. You will have chance to admire the imposing Rong houses, meet very friendly Bahnar people to explore about their culture and custom. Going on along the Dakbla river to Kon Ko Tu village, we will have time to have a river bath or relax and enjoy natural sceneries by the river. Dinner and overnight at homestay in the village of Kon Ko Tu that belongs to Bahnar ethnic group.
Day 2: KONKOTU - PLEIKU – BUON MA THUOT (B/L/D)
After breakfast, go back Kontum, visit the Big Seminary and its Hill-Tribe Museum, the Wooden Church and Ethnic Orphan. Leave Kontum for Pleiku (45km). Visit Plei Kep village, a traditional village of Jarai ethnic group with a typical cemetery in the Central Highlands, the tombs are decorated by wooden statues. Visit the water source of the villagers. Going on to T’nung Lake ( “Bien Ho”). Have lunch. Leave Pleiku for Buon Ma Thuot (200km). Stopover to visit some coffee, rubber and pepper plantations. Arrival Buon Ma Thuot. Dinner & overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.
Day 3: BUON MA THUOT – YOK DON (B/L/D)
After breakfast, you will be picked-up at your hotel in Buon Ma Thuot and transfer to the Yok Don national Park, the largest park in Vietnam. Take a boat cross the Serepok river to come in side the park. Start hiking in the forest, within the diverse flora and fauna. We have many chances to see birds, some small animals and several species of orchids on the way. Picnic lunch. In the afternoon, going on hiking through bushy forests, evergreen forests and deciduous forests. Late of the afternoon, we stop for camping. Dinner is cooked by your guide. Overnight in tents nearby the river.
Day 4: YOK DON – 7 BRANCHES (B/L/D)
After breakfast, enjoy the nature by yourself before taking a short walk about 15 minutes to the bank of the Serepok river. We take a boat trip along the river for 1 hour to visit an ethnic village that belongs to Giarai minority. We will learn about the daily life of ethnic people in the Central Highlands. Ride an elephant in the jungle for 1 hour. Have lunch.Transfer to 7-Branches rapid. Visit the traditional long-house-on-stilts with the architecture belongs to Ede minority. Explore the traditional wild elephants catching and taming of M’nong ethnic group. Visit and take a walk through suspension bamboo bridge for sightseeing. Have dinner and overnight in house-on-stilts nearby the Serepok river.
Day 5: 7 BRANCHES - WATERFALL – Fly to HO CHI MINH (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to visit Dray Nur waterfall – the most beautifull one in The Central Highlands and Vietnam. Go back in Buon Ma Thuot for lunch. Visit Ethnology Museum where we can see many things come from the daily life of ethnic minorities in Vietnam such as: clothes, cultivated tools, musical instruments... Visit and take photos at Buon Ma Thuot Victory Monument. Take a walk to see the local market. Then transfer to the airport for the flight to Saigon. End of service.
