Journey to Vietnam 8 days

 
Begin in dynamic Saigon, the country’s bustling commercial center. With your own expert guide, experience the city's most interesting neighborhoods, historic attractions, museums, art galleries and shops, markets, and excellent restaurants. Spend a day cruise along narrow canals of the Mekong Delta. Alternatively, take a day trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels and watch an eccentric religious ceremony at the main temple of Cao Daism, a unique fusion of world religions.
 
Next, fly to atmospheric Hoi An, a UNESCO-listed riverfront town with colorful historic homes, charming cafes, and bustling silk and fish markets. With your guide, explore the beautiful backstreets, visit local villages or Cham ruins in My Son. There will also be free time to relax at your luxury beach resort.
 
The tour concludes in Hanoi, Vietnam’s artistic and intellectual capital. Explore the fascinating Old Quarter and its hundreds of specialty shops selling silk clothing, lacquerware, embroidered linens, furniture, bamboo, cooking utensils, ceremonial objects and more. Walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, visit Ngoc Son temple, and watch a performance at the Thanh Long Water Puppet Theater. Shop for impressive modern art in the city's many galleries. Also visit Hanoi 's main cultural attractions, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his House on Stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Ethnology Museum and the Temple of Literature.
 
Also spend a day cruising Halong Bay , where thousands of limestone rock sculptures jut dramatically from the sea and numerous grottoes have created an ephemeral, fantastic landscape.
 

Day 1: Arrive Ho Chi Minh (D)
Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be greeted by our guide and transferred to your hotel for some time at leisure. Afternoon private city tour of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, which will include a visit to the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office. Next, stop at the War Remnants Museum, featuring collections of weapons and photographs from the two Indochina wars. Conclude the day with a visit to Thien Hau, arguably the most important Buddhist pagoda in Saigon, and then spend some time shopping at Binh Tay market in Cholon (Chinatown) before returning to your hotel.
 
Day 2: Mekong Delta Excursion (B/L)
After breakfast, a two hour drive to Ben Tre will expose you to the colorful outskirt life as well as picturesque rice fields along the journey. On arrival in Hung vÆ°Æ¡ng Pier, take a boat on Ben Tre river – one of tributaries of  Mekong river, sight-seeing  lively activities along river as fishing, water transfering… Stop at brickwork to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style by printing and baking. Visite one of plenty of coconut processing workshops located along canal. Turn on natural scissors creeks where they look smaller and smaller to go to village. Take a walk to family workshop making sleepmats and enjoying some fruits. Take a tuk tuk or ride on shady paths, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on realy life and find out about tropical culture from peasants. Lunch at restaurant riverside. Then take rowing-boat along water palm creek and boat back to Hung VÆ°Æ¡ng pier. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh – Danang – Hoian (B/L)
To day you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Danang which is located on Vietnam's central coast; upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy a walking tour of this enchanting town visiting an old merchant house, the Hoi An Museum, a Chinese Assembly Hall and the Japanese Covered Bridge. There may be many interesting things waiting for you here, lanterns, clothes shop, Hoian calligraphy, night foods… Overnight in Hoi An.
 
Day 4: Hoi An (B/L)
Morning private tour: options include village visits, or excursion to Cham ruins in My Son. Afternoon at leisure at resort.
 
Day 5: Danang – Hanoi (B/D)
Leaving Hoi An for Danang Airport to take one-hour flight to Hanoi; upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Afternoon you will take a private walking city tour to visit Hanoi Old Quarter known for its 36 streets and former craft guilds. Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet performance and dinner at local restaurant before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.
 
Day 6: Full day Hanoi City Tour (B/L)
Full-day private city tour. The post-colonial capital city of Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, numerous lakes, pagodas and temples. This full day tour takes you around Hanoi ‘s most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his Stilt House, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda nearby. Also on the tour – the Lake of the Restored Sword and Ngoc Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, peaceful West Lake (with lovers street Thanh Nien), the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda and one of the city’s museums, either the History Museum or the Ethnology Museum. Overnight in Hanoi.
 
Day 7: Halong Bay Excursion (B/L)
This morning, journey east a little over three hours to Halong Bay. En route, pass fields of busy workers farming rice using traditional methods of cultivation. Halong Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin, includes some 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. Because of their precipitous nature, most of the islands are uninhabited and unaffected by a human presence. The site's outstanding scenic beauty is complemented by its great biological interest. On arrival, transfer to the port for a magical four hours aboard your boat cruising around the bay. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on board the boat and, in the afternoon, travel back to Hanoi.
 
Day 8: Depart Hanoi (B)
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
