Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang (L/D)
You will be met up with Ha Long Tour & Service team at your hotel in Hanoi. Drive to Ha Giang, a province in the far north of Vietnam. Your route will take you through mountainous landscape and striking scenery. Upon arrival at Tuyen Quang, you’ll visit the 15th century Mac Dynasty Citade. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will head towards a small town in Ha Giang to spend the night. You’ll arrive and check in with time to or wander to the peaceful villages nearby. Overnight in Ha Giang.
Day 2: Ha Giang – Dong Van (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will drive from Ha Giang to Quan Ba Heaven Gate, where you can stop for great pictures of the impressive twin mountains.
You will go on to Yen Minh, with spectacular scenery along the way, followed by a drive to Pho Bang, located right on the border between Vietnam and China.
After lunch in Pho Bang, you will visit the impressive house of Mong King, Lung Cu flag tower before driving to Dong Van, where you will see the most unique stone plateau in the world. In the afternoon you can take a walk to the old street of Dong Van, where you still can find hundred year old houses made from clay, with hospitable local people still living there. You will stay overnight in Dong Van.
Day 3: Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Meo Vac - Ha Giang (B/L/D)
After breakfast, if it is a Sunday, you can visit the weekly Dong Van Market to meet the local people and peruse the fascinating ion of handmade goods and speciality produce. You will then climb up above the town to Pu Lo, a French fortress built in 1890 and kept in great condition. After exploring the fortress and the incredible views it offers, you will hit the road to experience one of the most spectacular roads in the whole of Vietnam.
After breakfast, if it is a Sunday, you can visit the weekly Dong Van Market to meet the local people and peruse the fascinating ion of handmade goods and speciality produce. You will then climb up above the town to Pu Lo, a French fortress built in 1890 and kept in great condition. After exploring the fortress and the incredible views it offers, you will hit the road to experience one of the most spectacular roads in the whole of Vietnam.
At an elevation of 2000 meters, the Ma Pi Leng Pass clings to the side of the undulating mountains, giving unrivalled views of the valleys and terraced hemp fields, which decorate the mountainsides. You will zigzag down into Meo Vac Valley for lunch, before returning to Ha Giang where you will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 4: Ha Giang - Hanoi (B/L)
Today you will make the drive back to Hanoi, returning by the same route. On the way, you can stop to take photos of the magnificent mountains and make the most of your last bit of time in this magnificent region. You will stop for lunch at a local restaurant and arrive back in Hanoi at around 18:00. End of service.
